A space to think, question, and discover. Together.
We live surrounded by information, advice, opinions, and people telling us how to live.
Manitya Circle is a space to slow down.
Each week, we gather around a piece of wisdom, an idea, or a question about being human. We share what it means to us, listen to how others see it, and explore perspectives we might never have considered on our own.
There is no speaker to impress us and no expert whose interpretation we must accept.
Someone may arrive having studied a philosopher for years. Someone else may be encountering that thinker for the first time. Both have a place here.
Sometimes the most meaningful insight comes from a book. Sometimes from a question. Sometimes from the person sitting beside us.
We come together not to collect answers, but to become more curious about life and ourselves.
No lectures. No expectations. Just an open circle.
Bring a little wisdom.
A quote, a doha, an Abhanga, an idea from a book, a personal observation, or nothing at all. All are welcome.
Share what it means to you.
Talk about what caught your attention, how you interpret it, or how it relates to your experience.
Listen, question, and explore.
Discover different interpretations. Disagree respectfully. Ask questions. You might change your mind, or leave with a new question.
Take something back into life.
Leave with an observation, an insight, or something you want to explore more deeply.
You are welcome to participate actively or simply listen. There is no preparation required. Some gatherings may conclude with optional music, Abhangas, dohas, or informal conversations over chai.
Six Sundays, six questions.
Each gathering begins with one thinker and one question. The questions are only a doorway — where the conversation goes is up to the circle.
Loading the gatherings…
You don’t have to be spiritual. You just have to be curious.
- People interested in understanding themselves and life more deeply.
- Readers and curious minds who enjoy exploring ideas.
- People interested in saints, philosophers, psychology, poetry, and wisdom traditions.
- People who enjoy thoughtful conversations and different perspectives.
- People who are new to these subjects and want to learn.
- People who simply want to meet like-minded individuals and spend a Sunday morning meaningfully.
You don’t need to know anything before you arrive. Curiosity is enough.
A few things that make this circle what it is.
No gurus.
Nobody is here to tell others how to live.
No lectures.
Everyone is welcome to share, question, listen, or simply observe.
No compulsory beliefs.
We can explore an idea without agreeing with it.
No fees.
Participation is free.
Respect for every perspective.
Question ideas without diminishing people.
A space for genuine inquiry.
We are here to understand, not to win arguments.
Privacy and trust.
Personal stories shared in the circle should be treated with care and not shared outside it without permission, subject to appropriate safety and legal limits.
Manitya Circle is a community gathering for shared inquiry. It is not a therapy group and not a replacement for professional care. If something feels too heavy, please reach out to Tele-MANAS (14416, free, 24×7) or any of the helplines at the bottom of this page.
Sometimes wisdom is best shared in words. Sometimes in song.
Some Sundays, our conversations may end with an Abhanga, a Kabir doha, a poem, a little music, or simply a cup of chai and a conversation that continues long after the gathering ends.
There is no formal performance and no expectation to participate.
Sometimes, the experience of sharing a song or sitting together is enough.
Where we meet

No fees. No expectations. Just curiosity.
What would you like us to explore together?
Have a favourite philosopher, a question about life, an Abhanga, a poem, or a piece of wisdom that has stayed with you?
Tell us about it. Future Manitya Circle gatherings can grow from the curiosity of the community itself.
Thank you.
Your suggestion has reached us. We read every one, and we don’t publish them without asking.
You don’t need to have the answers. Just bring your curiosity.
Perhaps you have spent years reading philosophy. Perhaps you have a favourite Abhanga. Perhaps you have questions you have never found the right space to ask.
Or perhaps you simply want to meet people who enjoy thinking about life a little more deeply.
There is room for you here.
Come with an idea, a question, or nothing at all.
Let’s explore together.
